AGENCIES TO ASSIST
- The WBC’s key programs focus on developing assets to capture new business development at market initiatives, to build market share and applied research programs and to integrate technologies into the economic foundation of the state. Beyond its assistance to communities, existing businesses and recruitment prospects, the WBC has divisions dedicated to growing agribusiness, the tourism industry, the minerals and energy industry, technology, manufacturing and the film, arts and entertainment industry.
- The SBDC works with other business organizations to provide educational resources and management assistance to new and existing businesses.
- The RPC supports University of Wyoming personnel and Wyoming entrepreneurs in matters relating to the protection, marketing and ultimate transfer of their intellectual property to industry. Through this they support the creation of new technology-related start-up ventures within Wyoming and encourage partnerships between University faculty and Wyoming businesses.
- SBIR program is a federal research and development grant or contract program specifically for small businesses.
- The Wyoming Women's Business Center provides training, business counseling and marketing assistance to women who would like to start a business and to those women already in business.
Wyoming Technology Organization
- The Wyoming Technology Organization speaks for technology business, driving the success of member companies while building the image of Wyoming as a leader in technology development and application.
- The SBA provides financial and management assistance to help Americans start, run and grow their businesses.
Wyoming at Work
- Wyoming at Work services for employers include: recruitment services that allow employers to post job openings, find qualified candidates and access a wide variety of information designed to help a business succeed; training grants so that employers can find out if they qualify for local, state or federal training grants, like the Workforce Development Training Fund; education services for employers to find a suitable training or educational program, as well as information on training providers and schools; and an assistance center for employers to locate general assistance information about the system, such as staff listings and email contact addresses.
- From hands-on consulting to seminars and workshops, technology searches to equipment demonstrations and more; Manufacturing-Works provides customized solutions to help improve a businesses profitability and business performance. Manufacturing-Works has a professional staff of engineers and manufacturing professionals who have worked in a variety of industries and companies.
Wyoming Community Foundation
- The mission of the Wyoming Community Foundation is to foster community and enhance the quality of life for Wyoming residents through asset building, grantmaking and increased civic engagement, participation and leadership.
Laramie Main Street
- The mission of the Laramie Main Street Program is to foster the economic and social vitality of downtown Laramie, while accentuating its unique heritage.

Laramie Human Resources Group -
Launched in June 2005 by Trihydro Corporation, the Laramie Human Resource (HR) Group serves as a forum for HR professionals to come together informally, hear targeted presentations on timely HR-related topics, and share insights with others in their field.
The Laramie HR Group gives individuals with the chief responsibility for human resource activities
within their company the opportunity to meet on a regular basis to exchange ideas, raise questions, and generate discussions around specific, as well as general, employee-related issues. The meetings are interactive, sociable, and informative. The atmosphere is comfortable, with regulars and newcomers all welcome.
The Laramie HR Group meets every six weeks on Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00 pm. Meetings usually rotate among member locations.
In addition to the ability to share experiences and solve problems, membership in the Laramie HR Group offers the following benefits:
