Established in 1886, the University of Wyoming (UW) is the only four-year college in the state.

UW offers approximately 130 different degree programs within six accredited colleges: Agriculture, Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, E Business and Health Sciences. In addition, the College of Law and graduate schools offer over 90 masters and doctoral degrees.

Here the majesty of the Rocky Mountains meets the solitude of the high plains, and students across the nation and world gather to exchange ideas and acquire an education.

WYOMING TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS CENTER

              at the University of Wyoming

                                     

                                            Wyoming Technology Business Center

                                               Grand Opening October 21, 2006

                                   

The Wyoming Technology Business Center opened in early September with almost a full house.  Funded through combined efforts of Federal, State, local and private donation it will be home to

a host of new and growing businesses.  Working as a business incubator, this high tech facility will

be the center of a long list of successful new businesses that will change the face of the state of

Wyoming.

Laramie is also home to Wyoming Technical Institute, a Vocational/Technical School specializing in the automotive industry. WyoTech offers six degree programs and six associate degree programs with 2,000 enrolled students.

Laramie is also home to Laramie County Community College-Albany County Campus, based out of LCCC in Cheyenne . LCCC's focus is on life-long learning and workforce training and offers more than 40 associate degree programs.  Recently, the campus of LCCC in Laramie has moved to their new campus which provides a state of the art environment in which to learn.

The Albany County School District #1 serves the educational needs of about 3,800 students each year. Within 4,000 square miles, the District owns a total of 142 acres with 21 buildings.  Those 21 buildings house 5 in-town elementaries, 6 rural elementaries, 1 junior high and 2 senior high schools.

Additionally, there are two private schools offering K-6 and K-12 respectively, one UW Lab school offering K-9 and one charter school currently offering K-6.
